This is from October 2012, one of the very first things I produced myself in Texas. Most of these kids are probably 30-plus years old with three children by now. Not great, not my best work by a mile, and it's so slight it barely registers. But I like it, for nostalgic reasons.

I was kind of proud of this thing I shot and edited for our sports department last year, on the Big 12 Conference XII Media Days. I was proud of it because there was nothing inherently visual happening at this event, just a series of press conferences and people standing around. Not a big deal, but it's a demonstration on what a little slo-mo and music can do.

I grew up in Salado in the 70’s. The creek use to flow really good and the water was sparkling clean. It flowed enough to where we would rent innertubes and flow all the way to Mill Creek. So when it flooded back then, it was ten times worse than this video. We’ve see water get up to first Baptist Church parking lot! It liked a foot from flowing over the tall IH-35 bridge.
He did this in Anger Management.

The way she described how a good day goes - getting those mundane, ordinary things done. That is so to the point. Grief isn't just a hysterical feeling of despair. It's that feeling of not being able to do anything normal because you have this big hole, this huge energy leak inside you, that takes away every sparkle of joy. It takes away the color in your life. They have the same last name....the nay-sayers were squeaking, and the reply was... COUSINS!! another time.... it's a very common name! A teacher who "died" at Sandy Hook, "Victoria Soto" also died there, as "Eva Mireles".... As for Sandy Hook, I've heard her real name is Victoria Aurelia, daughter of the town clerk, but unconfirmed....
